These newsletters also have amazing looks into the next coming months and often times will have great news for clients. Sometimes it's early access or even exclusive notice on upcoming opportunities.

Take a read below and enjoy the first (and longest) newsletter.

Hello!

It's been a wonderful year so far, and 2026 has been nothing but kind to me this year in multiple ways. There have been struggles, and loss this year, and my family works through our hardships as a team. We look forward to our next happier moment and take time to heal when uncomfortable feelings or moments wash over us and steal our precious time away.

Including wonderful things this year is my newsletter I can send to you all of the wonderful things that I have put into motion. These won't be useless ads filling up your inbox, these newsletters are intended to share what's going on. What's going on in my personal life, what's happening through my lens at work and the amazing events I get to be a part of, and even what I have in the works such as Christmas mini sessions that include printed cards with your photo(s) on them.  Also, from time to time I will through in fun little "Did you know?" segments to help you with your next portrait session.

This is such a fun way for us to stay in contact with those who have supported me and want to continue putting beautiful artwork of their families in their home creating heirlooms their families will love for generations.

Now, with summer in full swing, I can give you a taste of what's going right now and what the rest of summer looks like for me. Then looking forward to Fall and Winter I can't wait to tell you about what I have in the works. Starting with graduations being wrapped up mid-June and that was such a fun and wild ride, I was a part of 5 graduations this year! The largest was near Seattle, Washington being 1 of 7 professional photographers hired on and it was the largest event I have ever done; it was not for the weak and I learned A TON and met some amazing people. Those memories will stay with me for a long time.

Speaking of graduations, I had 1 senior who wanted their portraits in the snow with their skis, another on the side of a mountain with Missoula as the backdrop, one senior had their portrait at The Roxy Theatre, one wanted his Eagle Scout regalia and his grandfather in his gallery, and one poor unfortunate senior whose session was in the rain. Thankfully, that last senior was able to meet up again on campus and have more stunning images in their gallery with a beautiful sunset and clear skies. Each and every one of this year's graduating class has so much to be proud of, and I am so proud of all of them, congratulations class of 2026.

Next on the calendar was one wedding in late June, these two are the epitome of loving kindness and a welcome sight in the community and my own family. They are just the sweetest people, they are a joy to be around, and their wedding was tying the knot on the years they have spent loving each other and will continue to do so until the end of time. It was a beautiful day, and I love dropping little sneak peaks to my clients to show them just how exciting their gallery is coming along. If you're reading this, W&D you're going to love the gift I have in the works.

Coasting through July, the first half is mostly birthdays from our family and our friends, we will be celebrating those around us who are an absolute delight to be around. Then as we round of the month, I will be at the Mineral County Rodeo. This has been a joy of mine for many years, and this year I am coming into my own as a photographer, becoming more confident and polished. This event is definitely one of my most favorites and I love capturing the behind the scenes, documenting the action, the small details, and the people that make America's rodeos possible.

Then as we round off summer, I will be at the Missoula Fair and I will happily take on any previous client for a short 15 minute miniature session for $50, day or night, excluding Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, those dates are reserved for full sessions only. These last couple of weeks of summer are when I inevitably get those last minute seniors who need to get their portraits done before school starts. So, if you know a senior who hasn't booked and taken their portraits, let me know so we can get that box checked off before it becomes a problem,

Alright, let's look down the road into Autumn and Winter. I am currently filling up my October calendar with clients and their amazing family portraits they will have. If you aren't sure how to get that ball rolling and you might be interested in talking about family photos, my email inbox is always open, and I would love to make this process as easily as possible. I have wonderful new locations I'm itching to use, and your family could be the subject with these amazing places around and behind you.

Looking out even further into late Autumn and early Winter I have an amazing Christmas Card mini session in the works at a Christmas tree farm. Now, if that is something that sounds amazing and you would love to be on that list, my clients are getting first choice of day and hour. I'm happy to share with my clients who are in for the best times with their favorite people and remembering that forever by putting up those stunning images in their homes.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first newsletter, I plan to keep the next ones much shorter moving forward, and I will send these on a monthly basis as to not fill up your inbox with more useless junk. If you are wanting that VIP feeling, these newsletters are just that. Everyone on the newsletter mailing list will have the first opportunity, and sometimes exclusive opportunities on upcoming sessions. This gives you ample notice for available dates, times, and even prices that you won't find on my website or socials. Keep an eye out for these newsletters in the future in order to stay ahead of the curves so you don't let life pass you by surprise you, and leaving you feel left out.

Have a beautiful and amazing day and I can't wait to hear from you again,

Kayla
